ABS Original

PLA

Features

  • Genuine PLA UP filament has been designed and manufactured specifically to work with UP 3d printers

  • two rolls of filament come packaged in a carton with vacuum packed spools with desiccant to keep the material dry.   

When to use PLA?

  • certainly better for the environment as PLA is a corn starch derivative

  • for a nice glossy finished look

  • options matt look pastel colour!

  • PLA  does tend to break down faster in direct sunlight and environment exposure

  • melts at a lower temperature, which is great for 3d printers but makes the models somewhat weaker

POLYESTER

The Flexible Polyester Natural Shore 45D filament is a blend of rigid polymer and soft polymer.  The great thing about the Flexible Polyester filament is that you can print with support and support removal is really easy!

NYLON ALLOY

High strength nylon based filament that is extremely durable and resistant to chemicals. The perfect material for making production parts.

Features include; low warping, very clear, low fumes. Works on UP ABS temperature setting. 

Alloy 910 is a measurable advancement in 3D Printing materials technology from taulman3D. A combined tensile strength higher than the strongest co-polyesters, the durability of Nylons and a low shrinkage factor

  • printed parts can be sanded, primed and painted with acrylic

  • two rolls of filament come packaged in a carton with vacuum packed spools with desiccant to keep the material dry.   

When to use ABS?

  • ABS is Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene.

  • When you need strong parts that are linking, moving, securing or spinning, then ABS+ is the solution.

  • If your students are modeling complex shapes with lots of support and you need a safe, easy and fast way of removing the support, then ABS Original is the preferred choice.
